2013 was an eventful year with several of our best llamas headed off to new, fantastic homes!! BIG thank you to Lenny Cappoziello for purchasing Roxywood’s Vilcabamba and Roxywood’s Memphis and to Mary Lee Alford for purchasing Chilean Oka and Roxywood’s General Braxton Bragg!
Roxywood Farms also had a new arrival by FF Black Cashmere x Too coolo RTC – named Gabriella Quesada. This spunky little girl is going to be quite the show girl I think as she is super correct, long and leggy already!
Jessie before shearing 2014Jessie after shearing 2014We are welcomed our first rescue to the farm – Jessie – who gave us a BIG surprise when we sheared him this April (2014) Jessie hadn’t been shorn in over 7 years and he was a completely different llama under all that mess! He stood very still for me, and I think was super happy to be rid of all that weight!
PVL Chilean Aquarius #255083We are also excited to FINALLY welcome PVL Chilean Aquarius, and finished ROM halter girl and loud appy foundation female to our breeding string. She will arrive at Roxywood Farms in May of 2014.
Millie Grand Champ llama race 2014
And the BEST news is the tremendous event Roxywood Farms was able to participate in, April 2014. Roxywood’s Millie McKelvey (the youngest llama competing) was proud to win the first ever GREAT LLAMA RACE held in Knoxville TN. This event raised over $30,000.00 for charity and had approximately 5000 people in attendance. We are super proud of Millie for making her mark and beating out some stiff competition! We will be back in 2015 to defend our title!
