Shearing is done!!

YAY!!! It's a happy day in May or June for farms across the country when their shearing chores are complete!~!  We just finished up shearing over 30 llamas on our farm, and am glad we got it wrapped up before the summer heat is really upon us! The new shears we tried out this year (Heiniger) along with the ceramic cutters really seemed to do the trick. Not quite as close of a clip as I was getting with the "clippers" but certainly less frustrating as these Heiniger babies will knock out 5 llamas on one set of blades.IMG_4949...

In the news … 2013 and 2014

Roxywood's Vilcabamba 6 months old - 5/2014 2013 was an eventful year with several of our best llamas headed off to new, fantastic homes!!  BIG thank you to Lenny Cappoziello for purchasing Roxywood's Vilcabamba and Roxywood's Memphis  and to Mary Lee Alford for purchasing Chilean Oka and Roxywood's General Braxton Bragg! Roxywood Farms also had a new arrival by FF Black Cashmere x Too coolo RTC - named Gabriella Quesada. Congrats to Lenny Capozziello and Mary Lee Alford

This is a SUPER sweet guy who will be a joy to own! Named after an ancient Incan city, this boy has presence and style! Sweet boy with an awesome flashy mom!!
