Oka is clearly the best quality girl on the farm.  Originating from the Rain Dance Ranch program in California,  and coming to Roxywood Farms though Klien Himmel Llamas in Indiana, we were extremely lucky to receive the opportunity to own both Oka and her incredible daughter Joy.

Oka is full Chilean, with genetically strong bloodlines, and she has completed her ALSA - ROM requirements. In fact, Oka is only one grand away from her ALSA Halter Champion status!!  Most recently, Oka won a Reserve Grand at the 2009 LAARK show in MWF, even as the oldest girl in the group, and shown in  a nudie cut!

Oka is the primary foundation girl at Roxywood Farms and we’re excited to have her bring her extremely correct conformation, excellent bloodlines, size and stretch to our farm production. In addition, Oka is a flashy colored up girl who should throw some future champion cria!

Oka is currently bred, for a Spring 2010 cria, to the pure Peruvian male-  AUREANO (ILR# 200187), who is an incredibly correct silver and white splashy male for a spring 2010 cria.  We’re banking on a outcross grand champion out of this pair!

Show record: Aside from a VERY long list of accomplishments, to be added later… Oka has earned the following, while owned by RoxywoodFarms:

NorthEast Tennessee Llama Show -White Pine TN, May 2008 : 2nd - Adult MWF, 2nd- Dbl Coat Walking Fleece

LAARK, March 2009: Reserve Grand, 1ST MWF !!!

Joy is a new addition to Roxywood Farms, and is quite the firecracker!!   She is FULL CHILEAN, and her Sire - Chileno El Toro was the 2003 National Reserve Grand Champion Heavy Wool Male (see picture below).

She is curious, and smart, winning 2 red ribbons in performance at her first show!! Way to go Joy!!   She is a keeper here at Roxywood Farms, as her conformation is only surpassed by her mom Oka, and she should mature into an incredible foundation dam. In addition, she also has the silkiest, most luxurious fiber you would ever want to handle!!  For now, we’ll keep her on the show circuit and see what she can do, motherhood is not coming anytime soon for this super correct young lady!

What a Lady….  Sassy is our newest foundation girl at Roxywood Farms. With the incredible show producer Amigo de Peru as her sire, and Silver Peru on her Dam’s side, we feel fortunate to have this genetic powerhouse at our farm.  Purchased for her ridiculous size (46.5″) and strong genetics, we literally can’t wait to see what she will produce with our herdsire Ritz.  As you can see from her first and only cria (Baby Baby Fallin in Love - sales page) Sassy has proven herself as a suri producer when bred to suri.  She was hand selected to help give some size to the non-Kantu suri gene pool, and with her cinnamon, white and grey coloring, we think the match with Ritz will produce a super show stopper!!  Sassy has everything you would look for in a llama: height, correct and straight legs, board flat topline, hooked ears, excellent tracking, proper tail set, and an easy to handle personality.  We just know she will be an invaluable asset to Roxywood Farms for years to come.

Sassy has had a beautiful leggy young man, a spitting image of herself with the added flash of two appy legs! Born 9/20/09 check out Roxywood’s Kingston on the for sale page!

Baby is a stretchy girl with beautiful taupe fiber, hooked ears and a topline to die for.  She has alot of silver coloring in her undercoat so she may be a producer of silver babies-we will all just have to wait and see!!!  Since we purchased Baby’s dam as well, we feel we can only keep one, so this is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to hit it big with Baby!  With Kordero as her suri sire, we feel Baby’s ability to throw a suri cria should be strong when bred to our suri stud Ritz.  Just think, by purchasing this package, you would not only get a fabulous suri cria with Ritz’ unique bloodlines fall 2009, but also a fabulous suri girl at the beginning of her breeding career.

$1500.00bred to Ticca’s Puttin on the Ritz.  Live cria guarantee, and free transportation with in 200 miles of Memphis, TN.  Take advantage of our female cria guarantee. If her first cria is a male, you can breed her back to Ritz or any of our other males at 1/2 price!!  Package deals available, including additional outside breedings to any of our studs.  Baby will be available for sale after her 2009 cria is weaned…

fudge-718-edited.jpg Roxy’s Fudge Sundae surprised us  with his arrival on Sunday March 9, 2008.  Born on a beautiful spring day, this little man was 26.1 lbs at birth, and was up and walking within the first hour.  His splashy appy spots are sure to be a big hit in the show ring, along with his excellent topline and correct legs.  Taking after his sweet mom and dad, we are super excited to see how this willing little man takes to performance training.  Watch for Fudge at the fall shows!! UPDATE: Fudge has returned to our farm and is now co-owned by Lyndsey Thebeau and Rebecca Wood. Updated Pictures coming!

luiss-lolita-of-crooked-ear.jpgLolita is our performance ringer, and is a “go anywhere do anything kind of gal!!” With her perfect conformation and great bloodlines including the Bolivian import El Chavo on her Sire’s side and Senior Wenses and Macho Camacho on her Dam’s side, this beauty has nothing but a bright future ahead of her! This girl is a PR dream and really helps to promote the positive side of llamas. She has been on several hikes and will go front, middle or back with no complaints. She is a super star in the performance ring, and is very easy to train and handle. We can’t say enough about this girl, and although she has some excellent bloodlines to build on, we just enjoy her so much off the farm, that she’s not ready yet for motherhood!!
