Welcome to Roxywood Farms!

asia-and-kingston-112909.jpegHere at Roxywood Farms we enjoy everything there is about llamas. Located just 15 miles East of Memphis Tennessee, our small farm is the picture perfect spot to raise and love the llama! When we’re not showing off our llamas in the show ring, we enjoy taking our critters to the park for a hike or down the road for a stroll. Since we are a small farm, all of our llamas are handled on a regular basis.  All of our llamas are halter broke and patient of grooming, shearing, toe trimming etc. We particularly enjoy showing people how versatile the llama can be and how quickly they can pick up training for Obstacles, PR, Pack and that they can be used as therapy animals!! Imagine the surprise of a llama visit at a nursing home or elementary school!

front-81909.JPGLUA Bravado’s Izadoro is the newest addition to our herdsire row. He is only a weanling now, but we expect incredible production from this young sweet male! Joining our farm from Tami Lash’s program in Michigan, this future herdsire was selected for his impeccible genetics, outstanding correctness, perfect personality and locked silky fiber. He is out of Hard Rock’s Bravado (an El Gris son) and a finished ALSA CHAMPION and Get of Sire CHAMPION. His dam is the incredible Final Choice (an Apuesto daughter)and also a finished halter CHAMPION. The magical pairing of Bravado and Final Choice has produced multiple ALSA Champions including: LUA Bravado’s Choice, LUA Bravado’s Deja Vu and LUA Bravado’s Rapture. We are extremely excited to see what Izzi will do spring 2010 in the show ring. And, once of age, Izadoro will add his incredible silky, locked, Lanuda fiber, size, stretchy neck and strong genetics to our select herd. Oh.. and did I mention his color genetics? Although he is primarily white Izzi comes from a long line of color and pattern producers. It will be exciting to see what he will throw when crossed with the Smokin Gun, El Toro and Confucious color genetics we already have in our select herd.Check back often to see updated pictures!!

Sassy surprised us with this handsome flashy boy, born a week early on Sunday September 20,2009. Kingston is a spitting image of his mom with gorgeous red fiber accented with cream and silver and two eye-catching appy legs! His sire is our flashy appy suri Ritz and his mom - Sassy - is the tallest girl on the farm at 46″. Kingston has some amazing genetics to throw both size and color.  Sassy’s first cria was a uniform locked suri, so with Ritz’ genetics we think Kingston may be able to throw suri when bred to the right girls.  His fiber, while not suri, is improved over mom’s already fabulous fiber and will be a dream to spin!! Add to that his size and color genetics and we think you will have something super special to work with!

Kingston is available for sale after he is weaned in Spring 2010.  $350.00  call today t0 reserve this special guy!!
