Welcome to Roxywood Farms!

2008-winter-llama-pictures-016.jpgHere at Roxywood Farms we enjoy everything there is about llamas. Located just 15 miles East of Memphis Tennessee, our small farm is the picture perfect spot to raise and love the llama! When we’re not showing off our llamas in the show ring, we enjoy taking our critters to the park for a hike or down the road for a stroll. Since we are a small farm, all of our llamas are handled on a regular basis.  All of our llamas are halter broke and patient of grooming, shearing, toe trimming etc. We particularly enjoy showing people how versatile the llama can be and how quickly they can pick up training for Obstacles, PR, Pack and that they can be used as therapy animals!! Imagine the surprise of a llama visit at a nursing home or elementary school!

We specialize in the marketability of unique bloodlines on conformationally correct llamas with stellar personalities. We enjoy a wide range of fiber types from suri, to single coat silky and from medium wool to heavy wool coverage. We have a special weakness for llamas with good personalities, so if you want a family llama to enjoy, show or breed… check out our sales page! 2008-winter-llama-pictures-010.jpg

Hard Rock’s Got My Vote x YW Geisha Cruz

1-day-old.jpg Roxy’s Fudge Sundae surprised us  with his arrival on Sunday March 9, 2008.  Born on a beautiful spring day, this little man was 26.1 lbs at birth, and was up and walking within the first hour.  His splashy appy spots are sure to be a big hit in the show ring, along with his excellent topline and correct legs.  Taking after his sweet mom and dad, we are super excited to see how this willing little man takes to performance training.  Watch for Fudge at the fall shows!!

Bolivian Radical X FFF Santina

AC Selina is a beautiful sparkling white suri girl and the newest addition to Roxywood Farms.  Purchased at the Tillman dispersal sale, this little lady should offer our breeding program an excellent foundation of fiber quality for the future. She is tall and stretchy, has uniform tight pencil lock fiber with a sweet and curious disposition.  She was the only llama to be granted a 5 out of 5 on luster at the 2007 Keuring in Colorado!!  Selina is out of the super suri import sire - Bolivian Radical and a Newevo daughter, FFF Santina.  She is also currently bred to FFF Chamoso of the Chileno Chasca line.  We’re anticipating a phenominal cria out of this pair June 2008 !!
